Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School in Sarasota, FL was awarded a $1 million contribution from the Patterson Foundation toward a $5 million multi-year fundraising campaign. The campaign is designed to work toward refreshing their branding and campus-wide enhancement of curriculum-based technology tools. As part of this effort they determined the need to redevelop their website. They hired a web design company and informed them of the deadline for launching their fundraising campaign. Unfortunately the process stalled and they were left with very little progress on their website and their campaign kickoff deadline was fast approaching.
As a result they tasked their IT provider ITS Group, Inc. with finding a competent company to help them integrate their updated branding and improved messaging into a 40-page, Content Management System (CMS) website. Their new website required the capability to effectively communicate news and events to current students, parents, teachers and staff, promote the school to potential students and parents, stay in touch with alumni, and connect with the media and community at large. The CMS needed to have the capability to "stage" content so students and staff can create content and then pass it to website administrators who approve it before allowing it to be posted on the live website. They also required "speedbumps" so whenever users are clicking on a link that leads to an external website they are prompted they are leaving the Cardinal Mooney website.
And everything needed to be completed within an extremely tight window to meet their campaign kickoff deadline.
Cardinal Mooney administrators and ITS technicians interviewed Webtivity and we introduced them to the DotNetNuke CMS which we have used for several other high-profile clients. We explained our discovery, development, training and go-live process, introduced them to our Customer Support System and highlighted how we organize our projects for our clients so we can keep the process moving in a positive direction. After interviewing several companies, Cardinal Mooney and ITS Group concluded we were the most capable internet marketing firm in the area to deliver a solid, secure, well-designed CMS website within the tight timeline that was presented.
After collaboration and hard work from all parties, Webtivity successfully delivered the new website in time for the campaign kickoff. After launch of the website, Principal Steve Christie emailed the following to our team:
To everyone who has helped us create a vibrant new website – I thank you. This is a job well done and I look forward to the upcoming weeks when we can have training to keep our website current.
Again, thank you all for your efforts. This website is something for which you can all be proud.
