Top 10 Website Factors
That Keep People Coming Back

For an Internet Marketer the website visitor is a Very Important Guest. Your very survival as an Internet Marketer greatly depends on the volume of targeted visitors
you are able to attract to your website, the length of time you are able to keep them
on your website, your ability to provide them what they are looking for, and of course, your ability to convert visits into sales. Yes, there are various proven and smart ways
to achieve this.

1. Loading time of your website is very critical. If it is going to take a long time to load, you are going to be disappointed. Your visitor s will never arrive for  they would have clicked out by then and moved on to another website. Ensure that all your web pages load quickly ; especially the home page; otherwise your visitor will leave in frustration.

2. The first impression is the best. It is a known fact that most website visitors just spend 5-7 seconds in a new website. You have to grab the visitor's attention within this time and this is best done by clearly indicating the theme of your web site and what it
is all about. The Title should not be misleading and the introduction should convince visitor s they has come to the right place. Have headings and sub-headings to grab
your visitor's attention.

3. Have a well organized web site navigation system so your website visitors will know where to go and what to expect when they click. Never confuse them. Most website visitors come looking for something, so help them locate it. If they are happy with the navigation and the website, they are bound to visit you more often.

4.  “ Content is King. “  Have excellent content related to the theme of your web site
and update them regularly. Provide unique information and resources for which your visitor should be ever grateful to you. If you are capable of writing articles, post
articles regularly displaying your expertise. It should be easy to read and understand with no grammatical mistakes and spelling errors. If the visitors are happy they will hang around and explore your  web site further.

5. Offer your visitor s a freebie such as an eBook or free software that can be downloaded from your website or direct  them to a vendor  with whom you are an affiliate. Have free Coupons and Special Promotions that are bound to grab the
attention of the visitors ; keep them longer and bring them back often.

6.  Internet marketers who use Google AdWords or other popular Pay-Per-Click
methods make a very common mistake of sending people to their Home page rather than a “call-to-action” page.  If you are investing in Pay-Per-Click campaigns, create
a strong call-to-action page and be sure visitors land there immediately after clicking
on your ad.

7. Having Bulletin boards, Polls, Surveys and Quizzes are other ways of getting visitors to participate . Provide opportunities to submit articles and also their website  URL' s
to a well organized link directory, thus getting them more involved with your website This will help retain visitors longer at your website.

8. A special area having links to News, Sports News, Videos, Jokes, Thought of the
Day, Encyclopedia and other interesting content too are popular with some website visitors and makes them spend more time at your web site and come back often.

9. A Professional appearance of your website with respect to Design, Content and display of Advertisements will motivate the visitor to remain longer.

10. You can spend thousands of dollars on a website but if people can't find your
website your efforts will be futile.  Be sure your webmaster is using the latest Search Engine Optimization techniques to ensure optimal visibility on the Internet.

Conclusion:
To achieve success you will have to find ways and means of keeping your website visitors as long as possible at your web site. The obvious reason for this is to win over their hearts and convince them to be your customers or persuade them to join your
list. These Top Ten Tips show you how this can be done.

B2B Spotlight

B2B SpotlightCHILDREN'S MEMORIAL AND GARDENS, INC.

Name:  Jo Ann Glim
Occupation:   Founder and President of the Children's Memorial and Gardens, Inc.

How do your company's services benefit the general public?

We raise the community's awareness as to the complexities of child-loss grief as well as offer loved ones multiple avenues for healing through our programs.  Two such programs are:  The 1/2 hour television series "Seeds of Hope" on Manatee Educational Television (METV); and the bi-annual Ritual of Tears / Celebration of Life service held at the original Children's Memorial and Garden at St. Joseph Church in Bradenton.  Those who know us think of us as being N.E.A.R., Networking, Education, Awareness, Resources.  Bottom line?  Child-loss grief affects the bottom line of the family and the community.

Greatest achievement to date?

I believe the greatest achievement for our organization is still ahead of us.  We have built a strong foundation.  Our greatest achievement will not come from a single act on our own but through collaboration with others so that we may all serve those in grief with a fresh perspective and renewed hope.

On a personal level, my greatest achievement was surviving a stroke 10 years ago that had left me totally paralyzed on one side, unable to walk, talk or see.  I had been told to prepare to spend the rest of my life in a wheel chair.  If you saw me today, you would never know it happened unless someone told you.  That was one of those life experiences that changes your priorities and clarifies what's really important.

Character trait you most admire?

Actually, there are three:  Honesty, Integrity, and Compassion.

When are you the most productive?

After spending time in prayer.

When are you the most bored?

My mom told me when I was very young, "If you're bored, then you must not like your own company."

How do you define success?

I keep a copy of a Ralph Waldo Emerson poem on my desk.  3 points come out of the poem come to mind:
'To laugh often and much; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better.'

Are you involved in, or have you had any experiences/extra activities that you would recommend to our clients?

It's easy to be captured by your passion.  Take time for family.  Enjoy your hobbies.  You'll return to work with a renewed enthusiasm!

From your experience/expertise, do you have any suggestions for small to medium sized business owners just starting out?

*Create a Mission Statement and Code of Ethics so everyone shares the same vision.
*Write a 3-Year plan and review every 6 months.  Are you on course?  Do you need to make adjustments?
*Surround yourself with employees whose gifts compliment the overall mission of the organization and help you reach those goals.
       *Four things I would stress:
           1) Find a mentor willing to share their expertise
           2) Offer continuing education for your staff
           3) Build leaders within your group
           4) Compliment and encourage those around you
One final word.  Give back to the community.  Everything you have is a blessing!

If you were granted one wish, what would it be?

As a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization, our greatest struggle is to secure steady funding.  We receive no government grants.  I would wish for "Dedicated Donors" whose generosity would make it possible for us to concentrate our time on serving those in sorrow.

What is Code?

Every website is written in a type of code. The staple on the web is called HTML ( Hypertext Markup Language) there are also other examples such as ASP, PHP, and JAVA. To see this code on a site go to the top of your browser and click View>Source.

When you view a website you're looking at a graphic representation of the code, this allows you to navigate through the site with a mouse. Because a computer can only read code, all information on a site must be in the form of code or code calling a source like a Youtube movie or PDF file.

This source code is all the computer sees and also determines how your page is ranked or categorized by search engines. Most “Web Designers” will use dirty code which contain unused information and sometimes misplaced information. This is usually not noticeable when viewing the site, but will be interpreted by a search engine causing potentially negative effects on your rankings.

At Webtivity Designs we strive to keep clean code and file structures to optimize your website for search engines. Beyond this we offer SEO packages which will continue to refine every page of your website .
